An illustrated glossary of words in lyric poetry capturing the essence of being Italian
VENICE, Fla. – In her latest publication, “My Italian Heritage” (published by Xlibris), author Barbara Feltquate takes readers into the heart of Italy as she introduces its tradition, culture, people and many more.
“My Italian Heritage” is a charming illustrated children’s book written in lyric poetry that describes the substance and uniqueness of being Italian. It is designed to create an interactive and engaging reading experience for a child and reader as they journey through Italy’s geography, landmarks, churches, famous scientists and artists, holidays, family, foods, sports, and language, lending itself to meaningful discussion. The book can be used as an interfaith teaching vehicle to educate all children in a religion, nationality or traditions different from their own. “My Italian Heritage” offers a meaningful way to pass on family traditions to the next generation. “[The book] holds hundreds of your memories and may be a very special way to pass on family stories,” Feltquate adds.
This book will be appropriate for age group 4 to 8 or early readers who are curious-minded and drawn to bright vibrant colors and illustrations that tell their own story.
